Post: Instrument panel disassembly and assembly process

(1) Disassembly of the instrument panel internal storage box
1) Remove the instrument panel storage box bottom plate.
2) Remove the screws and then use an appropriate trimming tool to pry the hook to open the cover.
3) Turn the inner box cover upward at the upper hook to disengage the lower hook, and then remove the instrument panel storage box.
4) Remove the side fuse/relay box.
(2) Removal of driver-side related components
1) Loosen the steering wheel tilt/telescopic lock rod and adjust the steering column upward. Keep the lock rod in a loose state.
2) Remove the screws, pull out the bottom lower guard plate, and then remove the driver-side instrument panel lower cover and other decorative parts.
(3) Removal of the center console box
1) Pull up the shift lever center decorative part to disengage the clip and release the hook, and then remove the decorative part.
2) Loosen the side ribs of the center console box and then remove the center console box.
(4) Remove the central control panel related parts
Pull out the central control panel by hand to disengage the clip, disconnect the plugs of the hazard warning light switch, air outlet switch, etc., and then remove the central control panel.
(5) Remove the instrument panel
First, remove the switch on the instrument panel. Then, remove the instrument panel by removing the fastening bolts of the instrument panel. Remove the DVD navigation system in the center of the instrument panel.
(6) Lift off the instrument panel
Remove the fastening bolts on the left and right sides and the bottom of the instrument panel, and carefully lift the instrument panel assembly from the vehicle.
(7) Install the instrument panel
Install the instrument panel in the reverse order of removal, and pay attention to the following:
1) Make sure that each plug is correctly inserted.
2) If the clip is damaged or damaged by heavy pressure, replace it with a new one.
3) Push the clip and the hook to tighten it in place.
4) Make sure that the ribs of the driver’s side panel and the passenger’s side panel are tightly connected to the instrument panel storage box.
5) Tighten the instrument panel bolts to the specified torque.
6) After installation is complete, the fault code must be cleared.
