Post: Possibilities of concentrated problems with your air conditioner

  1. Poor air flow from your air conditioner
Weak air flow can be caused by a variety of problems, from minor issues like a loose hose to a broken fan in the evaporator. Other potential causes could be mold buildup in the evaporator that is blocking the vents, or a broken seal somewhere within the system.
  2. Your air conditioner isn’t as cold as it used to be
Again, there are many reasons why your air conditioner isn’t cooling as well as it used to. Causes could range from a loose hose or broken seal somewhere within the system to more serious problems like the condenser or evaporator not operating at full capacity or a burnt motor in the compressor.
  3. Your air conditioner is cold at first, but then gets hot
One reason for this could be a problem with the clutch in the compressor, which is preventing it from maintaining the correct pressure, causing hot air to flow through the system. A clogged expansion valve could also be the cause, causing less refrigerant to flow into the evaporator. A more serious cause could be a leak within the air conditioning system. Leaks are usually caused by moisture entering the system, which, when mixed with the refrigerant, creates corrosive acids that can damage system components.
