The Sonata (also known as “Sonata” in China) is Hyundai Motor’s flagship mid-size sedan that has been sold worldwide since 1986. The English name Sonata comes from the Latin sonare, meaning “sonata”. The current 10th generation Sonata, which debuted at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2019, is Hyundai’s second model to adopt the “SensuousSportiness” design language.
